On 17 Oct, 2023, AIDSO Delhi organised a rally and public meeting, addressing the rapid implementation of NEP 2020 and its impact on Education. With the slogan of “Delhi University Chalo”, students from schools , different universities including DU, JNU and Jamia Millia Islamia had participated in this programme. The programme started with a Rally from Miranda House College Gate to DU Arts Faculty, with the proceedings of the meeting being conducted at the DU Arts Faculty gate. The meeting began with garlanding on the photo of the great Humanist Litterateur, Munshi Premchand followed by a few cultural performances by the students.
The gathering was addressed by Prashant Kumar (All India executive member, AIDSO), Shreya (Secretary, AIDSO), Suman (Research Scholar, JNU and Vice-President, AIDSO) and student representatives from different colleges of DU, JNU and Jamia Millia Islamia. The program was conducted by Adrika (AIDSO DU Unit Incharge and AIDSO Delhi Treasurer).
The students spoke about the problems faced by them including CUET, FYUP, Fee Hike etc. After a discussion on NEP 2020, the speakers appealed everyone to strengthen the Anti-NEP 2020 Movement to save Education and Save Humanity.
