West Bengal Dt 28.09.2022 – Demanding immediate rollback of national education policy 2020 the call of countrywide 1 crore mass signature was taken from 1st May on the historic MayDay to 28 September the birthday of Shahid E Azam Bhagat Singh in order to submit it to the Prime minister was appealed by AIDSO All India Committee. Today almost 12 lakh signature collected in different districts of West Bengal was submitted for the Prime Minister through the Governor, West Bengal. Before starting the Students Rally Dr Mridul Sarkar, All India Vice President of AIDSO garlanded on the portrait of Saheed E Azam Bhagat Singh on his birthday at College Street. The main speaker of today’s programme Chandan Santra, State Vice president of AIDSO in his speech strongly opposed the blue design to destroy the public education through NEP 2020. More than thousand students from different districts of West Bengal participated in the students rally and protest meeting on the concluding day of 1 crore countrywide signature campaign programme. AIDSO West Bengal State leadership led the students rally for the Governor to submit the collected signatures from college street to rani rashmoni road.
Student leaders of college and universities raised their voice against corruption in SSC recruitment and murder of protesting student leaders recently. Problems of school, college and universities after the implementation of NEP 20 in different states were also stated strongly by the speakers.
To reject NEP- 2020 lacks of signature were submitted to the Governor of West Bengal by AIDSO today.
